Tell the Public Service Commission Georgia doesn’t want more dirty, expensive fossil fuels.

Georgia Power is breaking its promises to retire coal plants and doubling down on dirty and unpredictably priced fossil fuels.

Why is Georgia Power asking to burn more climate-warming fossil fuels? Because it profits handsomely by aggressively recruiting power-hungry facilities, including data centers, as customers. Business growth should not come at the expense of everyday Georgians’ financial future and health.  So we’re fighting to make sure Georgians aren’t on the hook for dirty, expensive fossil fuels just so Georgia Power can cash in on data centers. Instead, we’re asking the Public Service Commission to demand Georgia Power support and expand measures that reduce energy and save customers money, including affordable rooftop and community solar, energy efficiency and demand side management programs.

Join us in telling the Public Service Commission you’re tired of Georgia Power’s dirty fossil fuels. Please modify the note below and tell commissioners why burning more expensive fossil fuels is a bad idea for Georgia.
